Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently revealed his thoughts on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, saying that the royal couple is “annoying” to certain Americans. The 44-year-old Republican spoke out on TalkTV’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

Morgan, 57, started the conversation by asking DeSantis about his thoughts on the late Queen Elizabeth, who died in September 2022 at the age of 96. DeSantis expressed his respect for the monarch, admiring her grace and stoicism.

However, when discussing the younger generation of royals, DeSantis acknowledged that the public’s opinion tends to be “a little more mixed.” When asked by Morgan if he found the Duke and Duchess of Sussex annoying, DeSantis responded, “I think for some they are,” adding, “I mean look, I’m not involved in that … But I think for some Americans, they can be.”

DeSantis also mentioned that his book, “The Courage To Be Free,” outperformed Prince Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” in the United States earlier this year.

The governor’s remarks came amid persistent speculation over whether Harry and Meghan would attend King Charles’ coronation in the United Kingdom on May 6. Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler, reportedly stated that Meghan may not be “brave or strong enough” to attend the event, implying that Harry may go alone.

Burrell, 64, expressed his concerns to Closer Magazine: “It’s likely to be incredibly uncomfortable for them if they attend, particularly Meghan. Are they prepared to face the music?” He continued, “She’d have to look in the eyes of a family she’s pushed under the bus.”

According to reports, the couple has received invitations to the ceremony and is still debating whether to travel to England for the family gathering. “The ball is well and truly in Harry and Meghan’s court,” Burrell said.

On March 18, royal sources warned OK! Magazine that if the pair does attend the coronation, their presence might cause “chaos.” Harry and Meghan are thought to be requesting a position on the Buckingham Palace balcony and recognition for their two children, Archie and Lilibet, during the event.
